The road of Botev's cheta: Borovan

The first hours of May 18th, 1876
From Butan the cheta set off for the Bulgarian large village of Borovan and on its way beat off the raiding attacks of Circassian groups. The hope that a group of revolutionaries would join the cheta in Borovan was in vain. Nikola Obretenov remembered that only one woman brought them water. The revolutionaries did not get a wink of sleep all night and exhausted left the village.
