The arms collection of the National Museum of History preserves and treasures 457 (four hundred and fifty seven) inventory units with 539 (five hundred and thirty nine) exhibits in total.
Firearm and cold steel from the Ottoman Period as well as weapons with which the Bulgarian army was equipped from the Liberation to the present are among them. There also are war supplies (ammunitions, munitions, etc.) for the various systems of weapons which were rendered harmless.
The exposition exhibits 52 units of cold steel and firearm, out of all exhibits. 28 of them are displayed in Hall 4 and 24 – in Hall 5. All other exhibits are preserved in the store – room.
